To sync your new remote:

1) Remove the old remote from the room to make sure it’s not still paired, it will block the new remote from pairing.

2) Charge the new remote for 15 Minutes.

3) Turn on the Apple TV

4) Hold your new remote at least 3 inches from the front of the Apple TV

5) Press both the menu and volume up buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds.
